Exactly. Pick a new name or buy an old one that still has trust. Putting a two on the end won't earn you any new respect. Deleting content that is drawing traffic is the stupidest move anyone can make. Just let it ride and retire the programs to new signups. Duh.
Great example on the naming thing -- MCI gets acquired by WorldCom and is known as MCI WorldCom briefly until finally becoming WorldCom. WorldCom becomes known for account scandals (
ref) and the name is useless. New CEO comes in to clean up mess and renames the company to simply MCI and drops WorldCom from the name altogether. Verizon acquires MCI. World continues.
