but i do agree with some of the other people here - i don't think u want to squander your money on status symbols but you seem scared to spend any of it - you now know that with hard work you can make money so why not get a decent car and place to live? some people enjoy hard work but you should be able to get some joy out of life outside of working.

You are right, I am/was scared to spend any of it. When I started, I was pretty much "starving" paycheck to paycheck sweeping floors, bounced a rent check. Just thinking back to those times, I felt that I shouldn't be wasting a single cent or second and ride out this wave of good luck until it crashes and burns.
But I am planning on making changes, I am closing on a house this week, going to convert the basement into an office, hire a couple local community college kids part time to take away some of the repetitive tasks off my list of things to do, which will give me some free time to study and expand in other areas.
