That's pretty much how it is in Australia now, BB 2007 (which is drawing to a close) is/was full of wannabe early 20's models... the one exception is the token "Outback Ocker Aussie" bloke (they have one every year) who is in his early 30s.
In the last series some of the contestants openly discussed about what they'd be doing in the entertainment industry once they'd left the house.

Oh well, I guess it worked, one of the chicks (who got fake boobs between her audition and entry) is now a B grade celeb.
There was a big fuss about big brother "uncut" last year - an adults only show where they feature clips showing full frontal nudity, frank discussions about sex, masturbation etc - so it was heavily censored and eventually axed. This year there is really only the daily show which airs at the family friendly time of 7pm, so there's probably a LOT the viewers don't ever see. The live streams are also heavily censored, often playing a video loop saying "we can't show you what's happening in the house right now"
I've been watching this series off and on, but not religiously... there are some good moments but really there's only so much that can happen in a house full of people with nothing to do except talk or do silly weekly tasks.
