I am facing 3 lawsuit threats that involve some of the largest, and in 1 case most respected, people/companies in this industry.
I need to decide for myself what I am or am not willing to risk in order to defend my First Amendment rights at this point.
If I go down this road, I guarantee you all right here and now, I won't be the one most people in this community will be siding with either. Too many business relationships involving too much money surround the people/companies that will be attacking me.
I need to decide if I'm willing to give up working in the adult industry entirely, spend significant time and money, risk everything that I have, in order to protect a couple of parodies that I have written.
This isn't about "having balls" or "chickening out" and this isn't about "board drama". This is about some things far more fundamental than that, and about things that will effect my everyday real-world life in some major ways.
Never in my life have I deleted anything that I have written. I've worked hard through the years raising tens of thousands of dollars for groups like the ACLU and the FSC. Believe me when I say that I don't take this matter lightly.
I'm doing some serious inner searching over this matter, and don't want to act without thinking everything through thoroughly.
