If it were easy for keyworded domains to tap into search volume on the keywords, the OP would be developing the domain instead of selling it. So, obviously, he doesn't know how to to do it -- or he does know, and is dismayed because he knows it takes years of steady work.

<keyword>blog.com domains are great for blogging at over the long term, because people search for "<keyword> blog" and you *do* rise right to the top for those searches if your blog is anything more than the typical spam-o-rama. (See sig if you need some of these.) But start adding keywords and D. Franck is correct -- you lose most of the advantages because searches in the form of "<keyword> <keyword> blog" are relatively rare. Trust me, I know.

BCyber, I think you know what you are doing when you quote the Overture Search Volume -- you're marketing to blog newbies who don't know how long a road it is to turn your semi-decent blog domain into high volumes of search traffic. You're not *wrong* when you write "you could have a very high traffic site" -- but you're engaging in the same sort of aggressively misleading copyrighting that the affiliate programs used to use when they would write up those amazing pyramids about "and if you make just so many sales a day, with recurring sales you'll be making a million dollars a month in just seven months!"

It was not a lie, but it wasn't going to happen, either. Which is pretty much the case with <keyword><keyword>blog.com, unless of course the new owner spends a couple of years writing high quality daily blog posts. In which case, the benefits would redound to almost any domain, but yours would be better if it accurately describes the blog niche.
