Russia doesn't need your internet, it has it's own RUnet where they keep sites of significant values! =P
most russians don't bother looking at the rest of the internets as western bandwidth is not cheap.. RUnet is unlimited or close to that, well depending on the isp deal. that brings us to the point where some cash hungry bears go hunting west, good and bad. but US has its own bad ass bulls too along some bull market days =)
your experience is your experience, nothing i will say will change it, that much i know.
is it worst if you get scammed by a russian than your own peeps? - it sucks both ways, no matter where scammer from. trust no one and be extra cautious in dealing with people on the internet, especially from far away countries.
