Dude, he was asking for a
new site, of course with a PR0. Who will give you a backlink from PR4 homepage in exchange of backlink from new (PR0) homepage? No one.
Also, you are simply looking at toolbar for PR .. do you know
internal PR is updated regularly but exported to toolbar every 3-4 months? So, an internal page on a PR5 site must have some
internal PR, which does count in algorithm just not visible at toolbar, and you might be able to see that after next PR export.
Also, main thing is ..
domain value does count. If my directory have 25,000 backlinks it means 25 thousands pages
vote for my domain .. and it raises value (TrustRank?) of my domain in search engine eyes .. and any link from my
internal page will be way stronger than link from your new site's index page .. with say 1000 backlinks, being a new site.
