I went into another industry in th year 2005, but didn't make it there (investing) so I'm back, and out of sync with the game.
I was an affiliate in this business so my job was to continouslly find new sources of traffic.
I didn't run any sites, I just found traffic, either through search engines or other strange methods (myspace , random postin, etc...) This game is sort of like a catch and mouse, the best places for sources of traffic are the big places, like myspace/aol/yahoo/google/msn
And they'll cut you off at any minute once you start sending 30,000 msgs out :D
Same with search engine.

If you are making good moeny on the internet, I would suggest you make every single dollar you can and SAVE most of it, because the opportunities will dry up sooner or later.
Internet changes within 2 years it seems, So every 6-8 months you'll need to find a new place to get traffic, or all your domains got blacklisted for blackhatting, you just got to keep re-starting.
Its not just with us, altavista use to be king of the internet, then it was yahoo, then it was google. Some companies just end up dissapearing, to re-become the next google is pretty hard.
You can give live.com billions of dollars they still won't get much market share.
If you ran an affiliate program,
It would be better, let the affiliates search for you

I was an affiliate so ..
The income would be much more consistent instead of feast or famine.
