He switched the = and the !, but it can still mean the same thing. (=! is, among some people, another shorthand for the "is not equal to" sign)

Let's say for a minute that I believe you. Saying $20k in a month does not equal $1,000/day is not even close to saying $20k in a month is $666/day.
