The biggest site I know that uses torrents to distribute content is the BBC.

Clearly, not all torrent-reliant sites are distributing stolen content, but the sites we're all talking about distribute stolen content as their whole raison d'être. Allowing your advertising on these sites and profiting from them is clearly supporting them to further growth.
