And no torrent or "web 2.bullshit" will ever be able to have the ability to actually entertain an audience. Yeah, there's a place for "user content". And then there are people who DEMAND something better. Who want something that is crafted and presented professionally. I'm sure that all the trailer park people will enjoy the torrent sites. But when I go out on the town, I like to go first class. Same when I'm surfing. I don't want to see a shitty, out of context vid ripped on a torrent site. I want to walk in the front door of the site and get the red carpet treatment. I want the full effect if you will.
And most people with money want the same thing. The low class trash can hang on the torrent sites all day long and download stolen vids. They still don't know what's going on in the members area and the interactive things that are happening inside that CAN'T be stolen. You can't steal my creativity. And you can't steal what I'm gonna do next.
You can only rip off what I've already done. Web 2.0 is like looking in the rearview mirror in terms of entertaining the audience. So you pro-torrent guys go ahead and enjoy your "new" technology and smugly pat yourselves on the back. Meanwhile, the people with true creativity and ideas will continue to create NEW stuff and leave you always a step behind in the actual content you are presenting...and leave you completely out of the game in terms of total presentation of said content in it's proper context.
