Bush just visited the area where I live a few weeks ago about this. There is a really bad mass-exodus going on here in all the area hospitals by doctors, due to the increase in malpractice ensurance premiums in the area.
The problem stems from ridiculous inflated claims filed by patients against doctors. Pretty soon we're not going to have any good physicians in the area, and will have to travel about 2 hours out of our way to get one.
He's not trying to stop you from suing for a legit claim, but lawsuits in this country have literally run amuk, and this is one result of it.
I'm not a Bush advocate, but I do support this one.
