This is bullshit, do you have any idea how little corporate tax big multinationals pay? Zip, zero, nada for most of them cos they're located off shore in tax havens.
Rich people exploit poor people to get rich, period. God forbid they should have to pay taxes! I'm not asking for any sort of noblesse oblige, but fuck how much did Enron cost the US public?
Frankly there are so many loopholes these days I'd be all for a flat tax on income.
