Ok - Everyone knows that payout promo weekends are popular with alot of sponsors. It is also happens that many times webmasters notice an increase in their conversion ratio when they participate in these promos.

The first and most common thing that comes up is "OMG sposor XYZ is shaving me sooo bad, etc, etc". This is of course not true as there are many reasons why there might be an increase in conversion. Here are some tips to help you get the most of of ANY promo weekend, and in this case, the Python.com $75 weekend:

A) Fact: You only have so much unique traffic, especially if you have alot of known bookmark traffic, etc.

When you push 1 program very hard - overload your traffic streams with galleries, blog posts, content, banners, text links, etc - you are going to draw in alot more tire kickers. Also, in the case of the Python.com HD Sites - 1 person could generate up to 9 uniques (1 unique per site) and only generate 1 join. The more traffic you drive to many differenty sites, the worse your overall conversion rate will be.

Solution: Don't overload your traffic streams. Choose the best strategy to sent the most EFFICIENT traffic source to *1* site. With a $75 payout you want to send your best converting traffic to the site best suited for it. If you have a stream of milf traffic, send a very TARGETTED message for Highdef Moms.

B) Don't use generic promo content.

When there is a promo weekend going on, you need to assume that not everyone else is as smart as you This means you have to try extra hard to differentiate youself from the pack.

You know that alot of other webmasters are going to use FHGs and generic links and banners. This will be all over the interwebs - on TGPs and blog networks and on the search engines.

Created a customized marketing strategy for each site (whether you choose to promote just 1 or all 9 sites). Don't use FHGs and standard banners. Create custom banners or custom galleries.

Choose an attribute from the site and zero in on it for marketing purposes - for example Highdef Moviepass has a $1 for 30 day trial - so a good strategy would be to create a campaign that highlights this fact.

That's all for now, I'll post some more tips later today and tomorrow
