Here's another article from the same site, claiming that Dick Cheney ordered the media to sell the Iran war to the people. I randomly had fox news on earlier, and right after I read this article I heard Hannity say something like "when we come back, why the time to deal with Iran is now." So I'd say there is some truth to this article:

Exactly...the Iran/Iraq war was a text book example of how NOT to fight a war. Iran would have been defeated easily had Saddam not stopped short of advancing directly into Tehran, which he did only because he was a clueless tool that lacked even basic military strategy. Then Iran's only strategy was to send wave after wave of their young people into suicide attacks of Iraq's front line.
