I have seen successful companies utilize different methods but I think that it boils down to the fact that the better the quality of the content, the more value should be placed on it.
I think in the long run the consistent quality of the content vs. a large quantity of average content should translate into long term growth and profitability of the site/program.
Just my observation... your thoughts.

Fuckin Aye! .. but in todays world with eastern Europeans and South of the border Latinos getting women to pose and fuck for next to nothing, Has brought out all the scum bags and Non-talented Perverts, Add easy access to the web and that makes just about any dick weed with a camera, A porn Director.
The web is chalk full of blue and green Porn video, over saturated images... etc .. It has become acceptable and accessable to shoot crap and sell it for 29.95$ a month. Why not there so much of it .... Quantity has taken over Quality as a selling tool. However your right, Put in that extra effort and money, get some quality content a competitive prices, where content studio's are not forced to make under 10$ an hour and models are in a safe and health envoirment. Your sure to have better numbers in the end, a better conversion ratio and great retention ...
But as long as the web will around, and the prospect of making a quick and easy buck is on the horizon .. Crappy content is here to stay
