Yes it does horseman.
He was out of work, and I managed to sign him up to do one site for me that should have been done in a few weeks. But a week later he was picked up by a program on here who kept him busy.
While I fronted him $500 (half down) to get this done because he was in severe need for his family before getting his first pay check, he quickly fell behind.
The whole time he claimed to be working on this site, but not once did I see a single mock up. I just heard all of the designer classics as to how he was up all hours of the night, or he was busting his ass, and I should have it any day, or that there was this ONE sticking point and he would be done.
Then when he blew the deadline by weeks, I told him to refund the money, and I would have a different coder do if for me that could finish this site for me in the timeline needed. After that, he stopped responding to any ICQ or e-mails.
While I was nice at first, he still did not answer. Apparently had no intention of completing the work from the start. So I then contacted my local court, and credit bureau to track down his credit info so that I can put this bill on his credit report, as well as sue him in small claims.
It's not the money. It's the principle.
