You don't have to know anything about hosting. All you need to know is 1byte = 8 bits.
1mbps = 1,000,000 bit per sec. = 1,000,000/8 = 125,000 bytes per sec.
= 125 kb/sec = 0.125 mb/sec
60*60*24hours*30day = 2,592,000 seconds in a month.
2,592,000 sec * 0.125 mb/sec = exactly 324,000 Mb per month.
And you don't have to know anything about hosting. Just a higher arithmetics

Ofcouse, practically you can get lower numbers because 324 is a theoretical bound.
