I have a PS2. I have played with xbox ps2 and gamecube.

*PS2 has the better controllers. The XBOX controller is simply the most clumsy, chunky thing I have ever set eyes on and I know it would just continue to annoy the fuck out of me.

*PS2 has the best range of games and games tend to have better playability. Lots of people tend to agree on this point.

*PS2 is the most popular game machine internationally, given what Sony did migrating from PS1 to PS2 I'd say the most future proof option would be the PS2. Remember, you'll spend LOTS of money on games. You can easily imagine Micro$oft charging you upgrade fees on games when they release the next generation machines.

I'd go for PS2 on principal alone, who the fuck really wants to put money in the Micro$oft pocket ?
