I think the guy was searching for more than a "canned" statement. A lot of big companies usually sent out this type of "canned" shit.
It is just better sometimes to check with your fellow webmasters to see if they got their checks late too.
Sometimes when people live check to check it might not be a few thousand dollars they are waiting for.
