can you drive 5 mins to the store and pick up a 1 pound steak..2 pounds of king crab legs..a bottle of wine..fresh fruit and veggies....clean bottled water and a box of tampons...and make it home in time to watch any movie that came out in the last 50 years on your 60inch plasma tv
I can do that without even having to drive, or I can call the grocery store up and get it delivered, or get my full time helper to go get it for me so I dont have to get up off the sofa...the days of " The US is the best place to live" no longer apply.

Im not bashing the US, I lived and worked there for 10 years and I love SF bay area but when I moved out and settled down in Hong Kong I realized that my quality of life didnt get worse and since tax is less here I end up taking more home every month.

Most of the people who are complaining about the US $ are ones who live outside the US and get paid in US$....I had a friend who recently travelled from SF to London for a week and he told me he wont be going back till the US$ gets stronger cause it was almost twice as expensive for him than the last time he went.
