The guy has nothing your beating a dead horse. In my humble experiences, when asked to loan money. If your not ready to figure you are just giving to that person and if you get paid its a pleasant surprise.Most of the time you are looking at pain and disappointment. Usually when someone goes to friends or family or in this case strangers they have nothing and are desperate to just survive. Now they are so far down the hole, paying you isnt a priority even though they had the best of intentions.
A example with a good outcome so far, my wife wanted to help her younger sister.The kid got a new job in a new state and things got screwed up. So she had to sit there for 3 weeks before her training started. We covered her hotel bill. In my mind I figured I would never see a dime. This week we got the first installment it was a pleasant surprise.
