Sucks that you lost your job, but you named the business, gave the location, and called the customer out by his first and last name and listed his profession to boot.
If one of our CS guys did that to one of our customers guess what, they would be out of a job too.
You took a gamble taking the 20% off the bill, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.
Was it shitty that people on the board contacted this guy, yeah- but just like taking the 20% off the check, it's a product of your actions.
The best thing you can do is realise where you went wrong and chalk it up to a learning experience. If you don't take responsibility for what happened then you'll just make the same mistakes again, over and over.
