The taliban were way better armed than any gun-toting redneck in Texas, and there's guys on this board saying that "If the US is attacked, everyone would take out their gun ... you could never defeat us!"

Think about that for a second you ignorant twats...

The Taliban had grenades, rocket launchers, mines ...etc and they got beaten by the US army.

You seriously think that if a well equiped army invaded (and whatever your daydreams tell you, there's plenty of well trained and well equiped armies in this world)...

All you guys who polish you gun collection each night think you would be serious competition? Get a clue.

And all that crap about "We need our guns to keep the government in it's place"

You seriously think you could defend yourself for more than 2 minutes if the government turned on "the people" and started attacking you with gunships.
