Sometimes people who don't like to hear opinions, normally can't form one that's not geared in their own favor.
You don't always have to like what people's opinion's are, you just have to respect that they have one and take what you feel you need from it, and leave the rest on the table. Some people instead get their egos offended and instead of listen, rebel with vocal projection of the abrasive kind.
When you can learn to listen to people, you're over halfway where you're trying to go.
