This guy will probably never signup for another porn membership again thanks to you. The proper response would have been to address his concerns, apologize for not having exactly what he was looking for and suggest for him to keep his membership and check out another one of your sites (the ones with the good looking chicks on it). That way you would keep him as a member, make more money out of him and also keep a good rep.

You know the old saying... You get good customer service you tell one person, you get bad customer service you tell 10 people.

I agree. No matter how much of a jackass a customer is, you MUST ensure that 'the customer is always right'. Some people you can never win over but you can still make money from them.

As DH said, that surfer will probably never subscribe to another site. We all lose because of that. And as quiet stated, a kinder note will avoid a chargeback.
