I use studio, but when I need to grab hundreds of caps at once, I run my edited AVI (the raw AVI version that I use to back up my edited video) through a program called AVD Video Processor. I have it snag grabs at 1 second intervals so I can pick out the best ones.
I know it's not exactly what you were asking, but I figured I'd throw that out there in case it's something you'd consider.
