As some of you may know, my real name is Tony Hawk. No shit. No, not that one.
I have had the same email address for several years. Every year there is an increase in the number of fan emails I get for Tony Hawk. They just assume that I am the famous one and proceed to spew their praise, questions, and comments at me. From what I can find, there are almost 200 Tony Hawks in the US. Do they ALL get this shit?
The only time I am amused by the name is when I go to a new bar or club with a couple of my friends. Their names are Tom Cruz (not Cruise) and John Wayne (who prefers the name Jonathan because of all the jokes he gets). It's always fun to meet new people and give them our full names just for the "yeah right" factor.
Do any of you know anyone that shares the same name as a famous person? What do they do when being harassed by fans?
