Boy you're picky. By the way being 16 in 1984 I can tell you not many of those predictions were true in 1984. What they said would be around in 1999 was in fact around by then or a few short years after.

Yes microwaves oven was invented in the 1940's just like Tv was invented in the 1920's and shown in the 1939 World's Fair but it didn't home use until the late 40's. Microwaves didn't start to get used in home until the late 70's. Hell it was 1981 before we even had a microwave oven in my house and my family was considered middle class at the very least.
