An hour of downtime daily, I love how people exaggerate downtime. We have had three episodes of downtime between Jan 1 and now, I fully admit this. One due to an attack on a political website which we rectified as well as added more connectivity ( this attack was 1.5Gb/s) The second was the infamous SQL slammer at midnight that was a global attack and took down several other networks. The third was a bug in Extreme software that did not prevent the attack when our providers lifted the filters on their routers. Extreme has since released a patch. We have also divided our dns servers into two cluster rooms on seperate links and increased other connectivity points. IF there is a valid point of 1 hour of downtime per day I would like to see the tickets and I will address it without question and issue a full credit for any downtime that has occurred.
