The author, Keith Kimmel, met Sam Phillips during a protest demanding the release of Jeremy Jacobs from the mental institution where he resided. At Jeremy's request, Sam and his friends designed a website for Jeremy. The website,
www.JeremysProphecy.com, contains Jeremy's insightful philosophies and a forum for those who suffer from similar problems. In 1999, a greedy capitalist stumbled upon the website and exploited Jeremy for financial gain. After that, Jeremy became somewhat of a cult phenomenon. Internet junkies discovered his often explosive message, and attached themselves to his cut-throat, spiritual philosophy. Kimmel documents the tale in a hip voice that speaks to a generation, offering hope and strength to many seeking answers to some of the more difficult questions of time.
