Credit Card Processing Help for my Website

I would appreciate some help being pointed in the right direction. I stumbled across this board from a post awhile back on slashdot about the NATS controversy. I cannot remember one of the posters but the other one was Minusonebit. I read a few posts on the GFY messageboard and that was that, Luckily I bookmarked an interesting post on Taxes. Later I thought of the board again as I am having a small problem. I am trying to start an website and have a few Payment processing questions the thought occurred to me that Adult webmasters probably know more about that topic than anyone else.

My website is not adult in nature but I am dependent on credit card transactions. I am finding it hard to get what I think is good information on Credit card processing. My main issue is that most of my business will be based in the US but I would like to incorporate and host somewhere in say Gibraltar or similar places. I can't seem to find a good CC processor that is based any of these tax haven countries that offer a low rate. The thought has occurred to me to set up two companies, my main company and a sister company based in the US that I pay to process my Credit Cards, That way I can get the lower rate I seem to find in US based companies. The transaction fee (gateway?) is more important to me than the %, as my transactions are of lower dollar amount. ( though obviously I would like both low.)

Is my two company idea a good one? or am I just not finding the right combination of country for hosting, incorporation and CC processing? Plus can anyone point in the right direction for a good CC processor for non adult websites?

I apologize for the newbie first post being a thread but if you try typing these kinds of questions into google it is hard to get straight answers. Many Thanks in Advance and remember Go Ron Go
