I have to agree with you that their control panel is absolute shit. I have dedicated. They should get commercial panels installed ASAP. Adding a domain could take hours with all the errors u get.
But... you have an account manager and his ICQ# should be listed when you login.. usually if you send them a msg, they will fix problems right away. Email/Ticket is always slower than calling/messaging.

I have 3 dedicated servers with them and I do agree the control panel doesn't look pretty but I have no problems adding domains. I think one time a long time ago I had an issue adding a domain, but it was because it was an old version of their CP. Once it was updated it worked fine.
I'm not some webair fan boy but I haven't had too many issues once the servers are set up. I think I've used them going on 2 years now and only had one major issue and that was fixed within a reasonable amount of time considering it was 4am in the morning. Was a server stat problem that was crashing the server.
