When a company calls you and you are on hold as soon as you answer...

Do you stand there and wait for someone to actually talk to you?

What kind of anti-personal, blatantly rude, you're just a number in a queue pile of steamy crap is this kind of practice anyway?

When I call them, and they answer with the "please hold *click*" greeting, I feel offended enough. But where do they get off phoning me to have me be on hold the moment my thumb hits the talk button?
