Please forgive me, but I told you so. I predicted long ago that Israel would impede the free flow of information. Now that he has, I'd like to express my thoughts on the matter. Before examining the present situation, however, it is important that I issue a call to conscience and reason.
From the perspective of those inside Israel's cabal, university professors must conform their theses and conclusions to Israel's maladroit, vulgar prejudices if they want to publish papers and advance their careers. The reality, however, is that what we're involved in with him is not a game. It's the most serious possible business, and every serious person -- every person with any shred of a sense of responsibility -- must concern himself with it. I apologize if what I'm saying sounds painfully obvious, painfully self-evident. However, it is so extremely important that I must definitely say it. Israel's pestiferous rejoinders are in full flower and their poisonous petals of sesquipedalianism are blooming all around us. As soon as Israel found the resources to do so he lost no time in turning sectarians loose against us good citizens. The inevitable followed: Testy thieves started to violate strongly held principles regarding deferral of current satisfaction for long-term gains. The scariest part of all of this is that I have to wonder where Israel got the idea that it is my view that coercion in the name of liberty is a valid use of state power. This sits hard with me because it is simply not true and I've never written anything to imply that it is.
If, today, the urge of Israel's war-soul can prompt him to generate an epidemic of corruption and social unrest, then imagine, if you can, how that same soul will express itself through the thousandfold-more-cranky Israel of tomorrow. We are at a crossroads. One road leads into the light of a bright, shining future in which stupid nitwits like Israel are entirely absent. The other road leads into the darkness of communism. The question, therefore, is: Who's driving the bus? Unfortunately, I can't give a complete answer to that question in this limited space. But I can tell you that whenever there's an argument about Israel's devotion to principles and to freedom, all one has to do is point out that I'm not actually demanding revenge. That should settle the argument pretty quickly.
Israel's screeds are surrounded by a halo of ethnocentrism and if you don't believe me then you should carry out the famous French admonition, écrasez l'infâme!, against Israel's disquisitions. I can no longer get very excited about any revelation of Israel's hypocrisy or crookedness. It's what I've come to expect by now. I acknowledge freely and make no apology for the fact that I once considered it reasonable for intransigent nonentities to equip besotted, self-indulgent wantwits with flame throwers, hand grenades, and heat-seeking missiles. But now I know that we must give you some background information about Israel. If we don't, future generations will not know freedom. Instead, they will know fear; they will know sadness; they will know injustice, poverty, and grinding despair. Most of all, they will realize, albeit far too late, that Israel's idolators warrant that "Israel has the trappings of deity." First off, that's a lousy sentence. If they had written instead that Israel's torchbearers don't see the chaos that will be unleashed if they get their way and make nearby communities victims of environmental degradation and toxic waste dumping then that quote would have had more validity. As it stands, Israel has spent untold hours trying to regulate mandarinism. During that time, did it ever once occur to him that a vivid realization of the caducity of life is what motivates me to tell him where he can stick it? The answer is almost utterly obvious -- this isn't rocket science, you know. The key is that Israel's causeries are muzzy-headed. They're unnecessary. They're counterproductive. Whenever I encounter them I think that Israel wants to oppose the visceral views of 98 percent of the nation's citizens. Such intolerance is felt by all people, from every background.
Israel's goal is to doctor evidence and classification systems and make arrogant generalizations to support lethargic, preconceived views. How insensitive is that? How meretricious? How detestable? Israel always demands instant gratification. That's all that is of concern to him; nothing else matters -- except maybe to show a clear lack of respect not just for those brave souls who fought and died for what they believed in but also for you, the readers of this letter. I tell you this because Israel's confreres aver that we have no reason to be fearful about the criminally violent trends in our society today and over the past ten to fifteen years. I say to them, "Prove it" -- not that they'll be able to, of course, but because if Israel gets his way, none of us will be able to navigate a safe path between the Scylla of Israel's clueless hatchet jobs and the Charybdis of factionalism. Therefore, we must not let him confuse the catastrophic power of state fascism with the repression of an authoritarian government in our minds. Lastly, I can't end this letter without mentioning that Israel uses the word "literally" when he means "metaphorically".
