It happens, it kinda sucks because u dont want to be an ass, at the same time u dont want to be taken advantage off. people always start out with simple requests that would take more time to discuss than to actually do and keep complicating from there. just draw the line somewhere, sometimes people get upset sometimes they understand.
if they dont pay, dont give them the work. cut ur losses and walk.
