You switch DNS at the registrar level to the new dns. Depending on location and cache of worldwide dns, surfers either go to server1 or to server2. Full propagation can take up to 48 hours, but most of it is done in 2 - 5 hours.

my last plan was postponed 3-4 days from the final eta date (1.5 weeks for completion) not too long ago. i'm not about to let this one be postponed that long again.
