One of my servers at one of my hosts occaisonally dies and does not recover. It only started happening since they installed a second HD about 18 months ago. They've run HD tests and there's never been anything conclusive to point the finger.
It just died again, so I think it's time to move to new hardware. I'm not married to this host by any means, in fact due to their customer service I've already moved 2 boxes elsewhere and I'd be happy to be rid of them completely.
Now, the most important thing: do natnet offer proactive monitoring? Can you regularly ping my server and will a human call me if it goes down?
Also, and I think I asked this previously, can I manage my own server?
