It just died again, so I think it's time to move to new hardware. I'm not married to this host by any means, in fact due to their customer service I've already moved 2 boxes elsewhere and I'd be happy to be rid of them completely.
Now, the most important thing: do natnet offer proactive monitoring? Can you regularly ping my server and will a human call me if it goes down?
Also, and I think I asked this previously, can I manage my own server?

Hi there,
I think we discussed this via email already but yes, we do very pro-active monitoring and even if you are managing the server, we would still deal with any down/un-pingable server within minutes of us getting an alert. We would not call you...we would just deal with it and make sure all services are running. We have a 24/7 NOC staffed with very talented individuals. No need to call you if we can fix it ourselves
We host some of the largest companies in our industry (Penthouse, Hustler, Naughty America, Karups, LightSpeed, PlatinumBucks, Camz, SpaCash, Shemp, AL4A, Twistys, ConsumptionJunction, TripleXCash, TeenRevenue, HushMoney and Shaw Internet?just to name a few), and they most certainly would not tolerate a server being down for very long
