1 package of celery hearts
1 package sugar-free Jello
Scenario 1:
Prepare the jello well in advance so you'll have it ready as a "desert." Take apart the celery stalk. Wash well. Sprinkle liberally with salt to taste. You can also put any other non-sugar based spice on it (pepper, dried jalapeno flakes, whatever). No dressings unless you can get a hold of Maple Grove Farms of Vermont Sugar-Free balsamic vinaigrette (0 calories a serving -- make sure you don't accidentally pick up the Fat-Free variety as it still has sugar in it). The celery sticks are about 6 calories a piece. Your body actually uses more energy digesting it than those 6 calories (therefore it's negative calories). The jello is your desert and is only 40 calaries per ~ 1.5 cups (which should be very filling).
Scenario 2:
The combo! This one's a little weird, but it's worth a shot. Cut the celery into bite sized pieces and mix in with the jello. Cool in the fridge for ~ 2 hrs and eat up. The same caloric intake as above still applies.
I know it sounds weird, but this is a great low-cal cheap meal replacement. Too bad they don't still make celery flavored jello -- a failed experiment in the 60's...
