everyone seems to get more materialistic as time progresses, and the standards for relationships change and are based on more shallow means. i've been in 2 serious relationships (one i'm in now) and i make sure that i get to know the fuckin person rather than jumping into an "official" relationship right after i met her.
the primary reasons most relationships fail are because people are basically fucking stupid. if you want a serious relationship, heres a few pointers.
1. use some fucking sense when you meet a person. generally if you meet a person in a bar who happens to be trashed, HMMM, in most cases it would appear that they aren't a great candidate.
2. don't automatically assume the person is GREAT just because of a first impression. (yeah, girls your retarded when it comes to this)
3. don't jump into anything official until you've known the person long enough, which will vary depending on the person themselves, usually atleast 2 months.
4. if you wanna fuck then go ahead, but don't make it the basis of the relationship.
5. trust the person until you have a reason not to. just because you've been fucked over before doesn't mean it'll happen again. (girls generally do this)
6. be HONEST, caring, sweet, thoughtful etc... etc... (basically don't be an asshole)
these are a few of the fundamentals that it'd take to keep a relationship going. and seeing as to how i'm posting this on an awm board, few of you will actually understand or use this, ultimately resulting in more and more v-day's alone. sure, fuckin random people is great but there'll be a point in ur life will you wont be able to get any (without paying) and you'll be left alone. then most of you will probably regret having that "RELATIONSHIPS SUCK!" mentality.
