Well, take a lesson from evolution. If the patriarchs stamped out the Goddess, she didn't offer much survival value, did she? Like Camille Paglia (a real feminist with balls, not a wimpy whiny feminist like most of 'em) said: "If matriarchy had offered survival value, there would matriarchies." I think the only places where there is anything resembling a matriarchy is in tropical islands, where the men just want to go out and fish and so they've delegated running things back home to the ladies.
