I have Hard Drive problems . . .

Okay, this is my story:

I had a drive that was failing, so I replaced it. To replace it I installed a second IDE controller so that I could add another drive (the new one). That was fine, and I copied all of the files from the failing D: to the new G: (the CDs were E: and F. All went well, and all of the stuff is now onthe new drive G:

Then I removed the failing D: drive and replaced it with the new drive. On the same cable set to slave. I also removed the extra IDE card.

When I reboot, the new drive shows up a G: ! There is no D: anymore? The CDs are still E: and F: . I use Win2000, shouldn't this drive now be the D:, in place of the old one?
