I absolutely love proper mug coffee. If it's not a fabulous roast I simply do not bother!
For me the perfect coffee involves:
- an extra bold french roast! freshly ground, extra-fine.
- french press. Most percolators are inadequate---water is not nearly hot enough and it (water) tends to pass through too quickly.
- darmera (brown) sugar
- 18% or higher cream
