I'll tell you what in my state primary Edwards got more votes than Obama and he was already out of the race. And in my county a republican has never been elected to any kind of office ever.

If he were white, maybe he wouldn't have have gotten that many black votes - I will concede that point. But how fewer would he have gotten? On CNN they were talking about how during the primaries when Bill Clinton ran he won 80%+ of the black vote in some states. So we can't know for sure how much less he would have gotten. Maybe a little maybe a lot.
Also the thing about your state giving more votes to Edwards than Obama even when Edwards was out of the race really is irrelevant to this conversation. There are always going to be places that back certain candidates or shy away from certain candidates and it doesn't matter what you say or do. But I wonder what state is that? According to CNN Edwards dropped out on Jan 30th. In every primary held since then he has finished 3rd or 4th and Obama has finished 2nd or 1st. The math doesn't add up if your state gave Edwards more votes than Obama, he should have at least finished 2nd but that hasn't happened.
