Used to happen to me all the time when I was shooting regularly in NYC. It's part of the game. The best way to deal with it for me was working with a couple of good girls to really push the referral thing. Still though you will have no shows no matter what you do.
Anyone with agency experience could probably tell you if that will cut down on the no shows, I don't know myself.
