Like it was said, if you don't get any compensation or a fair follow up from the police... you probably know what to do...
But when you're an outsider and you decide to play the eyes game with a guy the outweights you greatly it's not hte best idea... but you were drunk... I'd probably have done the same thing... got my tooth cracked up a few times and takes a long time to heal... but be glad it was only punches and not kicks to your mouth.
