Hey Hal....I am pretty sure that the reason it was removed was due to the unwelcome media attention that it was getting in the final days of the show. It was a smart move for the hosts as well as the sponsors.
Just FYI, JFK is usually pretty good about recognizing the sponsors of the events he is photographing so you may check there for the sponsors.
