I think your friends are the ones that are around during the bad times as much as the good. The ones that know your flaws but look past them. The ones that you can cry in front of, cuz they are crying too. The ones that celebrate your lifes victories like it was their own.

I agree with you and I will also add that a friend is someone who always speaks highly of you when you are not around. They will defend you when you are not around even when you do something stupid. Loyalty is everything to me, and for some reason I have had a hard time finding a true friend like that. I always get the ones who would rather bash me to people because they want the person who is in front of them at the moment to think they are funny or cool. Or they twist situations around to make me look bad because they are upset or hurt with something that happened.

A friend is someone who wants you to look good and will do whatever they can to help you look your best. They want you to shine and will be there in every way they can. Also a person you can share you deepest secrets with and even if you get into an argument or fight with your friend you will hold that friend close to you and their secrets safe with you too. I don?t think anyone truly becomes close until they have had their first fight. haha You have to be comfortable enough to be able to tell each other whatever you think and that can cause arguments, but with a friend they are just that, an argument not a judgment against you as a person. A friend is also someone who will lie for you, if needed, to help protect your honor. They will make the effort to learn who you are enough to know what you would need to make whatever life throws at you better. Loyalty and respect are the two main ingredients to me. When I have a friend I am very loyal and I will always defend their honor and do what I can to make them the best they can, like I stated above!

I will be your friend Steve.....but you already knew that!
