Exactly, they defend YOU they support YOU. If my friend did something stupid, which I have had friends who have, I would stand up for them in front of people, saying to other people trashing them in front of me, you don't know the whole story or people make mistakes or why are you judging them off of one thing, or whatever the problem is it's hard to give an example without a definite problem. The point being they are on your side, and will not jump in with others so they can try to be accepted. Of course when I have my friend alone I will tell them to their face how stupid they acted or whatever so they can get better or grow or have a better life and I would expect the same in return.

I am saying whatever a lot in this post! haha But you get my point. I think if you read my whole post I imply in there that a friend is honest to your face and will defend your honor to others. I had a really great convo with someone at Phoenix Forum about this. I won't mention names, but they felt the same way I did and we discussed how many people just don't get that and most of the time people will say, "I was just teasing or joking," as a way of justifying their rude comments. Uh that burns me!
